Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question? We might already have the answers.
How many AI video animations are included for free with each video? +
Every video you create includes 5 free AI animations by default. These transform your static photos into 5-second realistic video clips. The first photo in your sequence always receives an AI animation, and the system automatically selects 4 other photos for animation. Additional animations cost 10 credits each for normal quality or 20 credits for Ultra HD (1080p).
What's the difference between Normal and Premium AI animations? +
Both Normal and Premium animations cost 10 credits (or 20 for Ultra HD), but Premium animations are only available to subscribers and offer superior quality with better prompt following. Premium animations produce more accurate results based on your instructions and generally create smoother, more realistic motion. This is especially noticeable when dealing with complex camera movements or detailed scenes.
How can I prevent AI from creating non-existent objects in my property videos? +
AI artifacts typically appear when using tight angles or certain camera movements. Here are 5 solutions: 1) Add a second angle of the same room with shared features, 2) Use the editor to trim the end where artifacts appear, 3) Enable Premium motion for better accuracy, 4) Choose conservative movements like "Zoom In" instead of pivot or zoom out, or 5) Switch to standard Ken Burns effect by removing the AI animation temporarily.
What image formats and resolutions does VideoTour.AI support? +
VideoTour.AI accepts images in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp, and .heic formats. You can upload up to 20 images per video. The system automatically handles different aspect ratios and will intelligently crop images if needed when you select a different output format (landscape 16:9, vertical 9:16, or square 1:1). Output resolutions available are 480p, 720p, and 1080p Ultra HD.
Can I customize the music and captions after the video is created? +
Yes! After generation, you can fully edit your video. Change the music from our library of free stock music and trending songs, or upload your own track. The AI automatically syncs transitions to your music. For captions, you can edit the text, position, font, size, and stroke for each photo individually. You can also turn captions on/off for specific clips. Remember to click "Apply Changes" after editing.
How does the AI decide which photos to animate and in what order? +
The AI automatically sorts your photos for optimal flow and always applies animation to the first photo. It then selects 4 additional photos for AI animation based on visual impact potential. The remaining photos receive standard Ken Burns effects. You can manually reorder photos, add or remove AI animations from any clip, and adjust the Ken Burns movement direction during the editing phase.
What are branding videos and how much do they cost to create? +
Branding videos are custom intro/outro clips featuring your logo. You can create simple fade-in effects with your uploaded logo for free, or use AI-animated templates for 20 credits (one-time cost per branding video). Once created, you can reuse these branding videos unlimited times as intros or outros on all your future videos. You can create and store multiple branding videos for different purposes.
Do I get social media optimization features with my video? +
Yes! In the Post tab, you'll find a pre-generated thumbnail with customizable overlay text, perfect for grabbing attention on social platforms. The system also provides ready-to-use captions optimized for social media posting. These features help maximize engagement when sharing your property videos on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or other platforms.
Why does zoom out or pivot camera movement create more artifacts than zoom in? +
Zoom out and pivot movements require the AI to generate content beyond the original photo's borders, which increases the likelihood of creating non-existent elements. Zoom in movements work within the existing image data, making them more reliable. For best results with wider movements, use photos with broader angles or provide multiple angles of the same space so the AI has reference material to work with.
Can I edit individual clip durations or is it fixed at 5 seconds? +
AI-animated clips are generated at 5 seconds each. While you can't change the generation length, you can use the editor to trim clips shorter if needed, especially useful for removing any unwanted artifacts at the end. The AI automatically manages timing and transitions to sync with your chosen music, ensuring smooth flow regardless of individual clip lengths.
What happens to portrait photos when I choose landscape format? +
The AI automatically crops portrait images to fit your chosen format (16:9 landscape, 9:16 vertical, or 1:1 square). The intelligent cropping algorithm focuses on the most important parts of the image. However, you can individually disable auto-crop for specific photos during the editing phase if you prefer to maintain the original framing or adjust the crop manually.
Is there a limit to how many credits I can use per video? +
With up to 20 photos per video, and the option to animate each one, you could theoretically use up to 300 credits on a single video (15 additional animations beyond the 5 free ones, all in Ultra HD at 20 credits each). However, most professional videos achieve excellent results with 5-10 animated clips strategically placed throughout the sequence.
What exactly is the Ken Burns effect on non-animated photos? +
The Ken Burns effect is a classic documentary technique that adds subtle motion to still photos through slow pans and zooms. For photos without AI animation, VideoTour.AI applies this effect automatically. You can control the direction of movement for each photo in the editor, choosing whether it zooms in/out or pans left/right, creating a professional, dynamic feel without the processing cost of full AI animation.
Can I save my caption style settings as a template? +
When you choose caption settings (font, text size, stroke, etc.) before creating the video, these apply to all captions in that video. While you can edit individual captions afterward, the initial style choices serve as your default template for that project. For consistent branding across multiple videos, note your preferred settings to apply them when creating new videos.
Do I need to upload photos in a specific order? +
No! Upload photos in any order - the AI automatically sorts them for optimal storytelling flow. This intelligent sequencing considers factors like visual similarity, lighting, and spatial relationships. You can always manually reorder clips in the editor if you prefer a different sequence. The first photo after AI sorting always receives an animation, so you might want to review the order before finalizing.
How long does it take to generate a video after clicking create? +
Generation time varies based on the number of photos, chosen resolution, and server load. The system performs multiple tasks: AI photo sorting, generating 5 AI animations, applying Ken Burns effects to remaining photos, and syncing everything with music. Typically expect 2-5 minutes for standard videos, with Ultra HD taking slightly longer. You'll see the progress as the system works through each step.
Can I use my company jingle or copyrighted music? +
You can upload your own music files, including company jingles you own the rights to. The system accepts most common audio formats and will automatically sync transitions to your custom track. For copyrighted music, ensure you have proper licenses for your intended use. The platform also offers free stock music and trending songs that are cleared for commercial use in your property videos.
What's the best strategy for choosing which photos to animate? +
Prioritize hero shots: exterior establishing views, grand living spaces, and unique property features. Wide-angle shots animate better than tight crops. Space animations throughout the video rather than clustering them. Consider animating transition points between different areas (exterior to interior, upstairs to downstairs). Save credits by using Ken Burns for detail shots and smaller rooms where subtle movement suffices.
Will my edits be saved if I need to step away before applying changes? +
Changes are only saved when you click "Apply Changes" in the editor. If you need to pause editing, make sure to apply your current changes first. You can always return to edit the video again later - there's no limit to how many times you can edit and re-apply changes to perfect your video. Each edit session builds upon the previous saved version.
Can I replace a photo in a clip without losing its animation? +
Yes, you can change the photo in any clip through the editor. However, if the clip has an AI animation, you'll need to regenerate the animation for the new photo (costing credits again). For clips with Ken Burns effects, the motion settings transfer to the new photo automatically. This is useful for updating listings with seasonal photos or correcting photo selections without starting over.
